Yes, monetary donations to Science of Spirituality (SOS) are tax-deductible. Certain donations in which the donor receives a good or service in return for a donation are not tax-deductible or may be only partially deductible. This would apply to purchases of books, CDs, etc., and meal tickets or bus tickets for special events.

We send electronic (email) acknowledgements immediately from our sangat site Donations and we try to send email acknowledgements for checks, cash or PayPal donations within a week after receipt.

Due to privacy laws, we use a service that processes your donation, and we do not keep your bank or credit card information on file.

Your data is very secure. We use the IATS processor, a company in Vancouver Canada devoted exclusively to serving non-profit organizations. IATS uses the highest levels of security available on the internet to protect your personal information against such risks as loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification, and destruction. We protect your information regardless of the format in which it is held. IATS considers all personal information as confidential and we do not disclose it to any third parties.

The Science of Spirituality Growth Fund is aimed at supporting and expanding the Mission of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj. SOS is 100% run by member contributions. When we get regular monthly contributions, we can plan to cover ongoing expenses and support the various aspects of a growing Mission. When you contribute on a monthly basis, not only do you contribute to the tremendous growth of the Mission, but you also receive all the benefits of financial service on a regular, consistent basis. Both methods are securely managed and processed by IATS. Generally, credit cards have a fee of around 2.5% that SOS incurs, whereas bank transfers are equally secure and have a minimal fee charged to SOS.

For monthly recurring contributions, you can select the day of the month to have your funds charged.

Yes there is a box on the donation form on the sangat site that you can check which states: Please add the credit card transaction fee of 2.5% to my donation amount. While the fee will still be paid by SOS, you would be contributing to its payment.

Donors receive an annual statement reflecting the prior year's total contributions. This statement is usually mailed in late January or February.

Email us at donate@sos.org and we will deactivate your prior account information or change the amount as per your request. If you want to change your credit card for a monthly recurring donation, we prefer that you enter it as a new donation on the sangat site to protect your personal information, and we will deactivate the old one in our system. Remember, SOS does not keep your card or bank information on file.
